Cell Phone Safety Cord

Cell Phone Safety Cord

Cell Phone Safety Cord

DESCRIPTION:

The device is a uniquely designed cellular phone protective cover that includes a locking safety cord that helps to prevent loss or theft of the cell phone.

The “Cell Phone Safety Cord’s” unique recoiling function allows the device to be clipped onto a the cell phone owner’s person (i.e. purse strap, belt loop, etc.) at all times, and still be able to comfortably use their cell phone as needed.

SPECIFIC, UNIQUE FUNCTIONS OF INVENTION:

Cell phones, once large and bulky, are smaller and more useful than ever. What hasn’t changed is their attractiveness to thieves.

While losing a cell phone to theft can be expensive, that’s not the worse part. Thieves who steal a cell phone can spend days running up phone and texting minutes, leaving the owners still responsible for paying the bill. What’s more, with cell phones now being providing a convenient way to link to the internet, cell phone users can now leave both personal and business information on their phones, putting users who loose their phone or have it stolen at risk for identity theft, on top of the simple loss of property.

This year, an estimated 600,000 cell phones will be reported lost or stolen, and most insurance plans offered by the cell phone carriers and/or providers do not cover damages due to lost or stolen property.

With the “Cell Phone Safety Cord,” an owner can guard their cellular phone like they would their own wallet.

The “Cell Phone Safety Cord,” like most commonly used cell phone covers, provides a protective casing around the cell phone made of durable plastic, rubber or leather. This casing safeguards the frame of the cell phone from scratches, dents, and other damages when mishaps occur.

The unique recoiling device locks into any one of six input ports located on the “Cell Phone Safety Cord” case (three located on top and three located on the bottom) and can only be removed by the cell phone owner by pinching the housing unit release button (found on either side of the recoil housing unit). Once locked in place, the cell phone owner would use the clip to secure the phone, either by clipping to a purse strap or to a belt loop. The string is coiled around a spool (stored within the housing unit) and can be extended out so that the user may comfortably talk or use their phone to send messages without having to unclip the device. Then, once the cell phone owner is finished with their call or message, the string is recoiled by pressing the recoil release button so that the phone can be neatly stored away without excess string hanging about.

Inside the casing of “Cell Phone Safety Cord,” each of the six input ports (three located on top and three located on the bottom) are wired to an plug in adapter that can also supply power to the cell phone once inside the cover, thereby providing the owner with a convenient way of recharging the phone without having to remove the protective cover.

There are a number of styles to choose from that will fit virtually any cell phone style and provide pre-cut grommets and/or openings to make existing ports on the handset accessible without ever having to remove the cover. Each faceplate is designed to easily fit over the handset of your particular model. No additional tools are required.
