Forearm / Lower Leg Organizer
DESCRIPTION:
Excursions into the wilderness, short hikes or just a day out being active doing something as simple as exercising we will always need our necessary items with us. These essential items will, of course, vary depending on the individual. Professionals and active people are continuously seeking additional space to carry essential gear. The objects that are required for different activities and professional occupations are often specific to that particular individual and the activity in which they are involved.
Professional health personnel frequently need a multitude of small articles that range from pens and pencils to vital medical supplies that usually have to be carried in pockets that are already fully occupied with other essential objects. Active outdoors people such as hunters, joggers, bike riders, and similar activities all have their specific personal and necessary things that must be carried with them. Backpacks are very helpful, but the obvious drawback to the backpack is its inaccessibility when wearing it. Backpacks and similar carrying devices have to be removed to gain access to any of the storage areas. Removing a backpack can disrupt the particular activity especially if it is a bike ride or other event where it might be inconvenient to stop just for some sunscreen, lip balm or some other item. Hunters can face the same dilemma when tracking game or other undertakings associated with the sport. Regardless of the activity having quick access to personal and important items is essential.
Anytime a person travels away from home, whether it’s just for a walk or a long distance for several days or weeks, essential personal items are always needed. Carrying personal objects has always been an issue when the volume of the belongings exceeds the usual methods of carrying them. Everyday materials ordinarily occupy purses and pockets, and there is hardly room for the extra “stuff” that a person needs for additional activities and the daily needs on the job, at the gym, and almost any outing that exceeds the typical storage of pockets or purses.
The Forearm / Lower Leg Organizer is a unique and innovative solution to quick access to necessary and personal items for an active person. Constructed to fit either the lower leg or forearm the Forearm / Lower Leg Organizer can be utilized on either the left or right side of the body depending on the user’s preference. The forearm organizer fits between the wrist and the elbow and is held in place by secure and comfortable elastic bands applied to the arm below the elbow and above the wrist. The surface of the forearm organizer is compatible with the Velcro attachment system, and each pocket or item carrier has a Velcro strip that will allow the pockets or item holders to be placed in any arrangement on the organizers surface. The lower leg organizer has all the same features as the forearm organizer and is designed to fit the lower leg between the knee and the ankle. The Forearm / Lower Leg Organizer allows a hands-free environment for professionals and persons in any physical activity. The special Velcro enabled pockets and accessory holders will allow the user to configure the Forearm / Lower Leg Organizer into the ideal arrangement of storage for any activity. The elastic band mounting system keeps the organizer secure on either the forearm or lower leg. The elastic bands will remain comfortable for hours when wearing. The Forearm / Lower Leg Organizer presents a unique solution for active people looking for additional storage for the essential and personal items while working in a profession or any activity where immediate access to necessary items is required.

PRODUCT COMPONENT CLARIFICATION:
The “Forearm/Lower Leg Organizer” is an innovative health or exercise product that has been designed to provide an infinitely configurable, wearable carrying/storage product. The product consists of a carrier sleeve held on the arm or lower leg with elastic straps. The outside (front) surface of the sleeve is made of loop fabric upon which any of the pouches or loop bands may be positioned at any location. The loop bands have hook fabric backs and hold cylindrical objects like pens, pencils, syringes, bottles of medicine, etc. The pouches are sized from small to large and are supplied with open tops or closed tops with fasteners. Their hook fabric backs also can be positioned anywhere in the sleeve’s surface. Once configured, the carrier can hold many of the various items that helps the user accomplish the task set before them.
Currently, the user has to place the pens, pencils, syringes, medications, and other items in the pockets, whether it be a shirt or pants pocket or even a waist bag. Trying to find the appropriate item needed requires sorting around within the pocket or pouch and can take an inordinate amount of time. If the shroud came off of the syringe, the fingers can be stuck. Either condition is irritating, and carrying multiple items in the pocket can cause abrasions to the skin beneath the pocket, further exacerbating the problem.
The “Forearm/Lower Leg Organizer” resolves almost all of these problems by providing a fully customizable carrier that can be worn on the forearm or lower leg, whichever works best for the user. The carrier is retained on the forearm or lower leg using elastic bands that are secured in place using hook & loop (H&L) fasteners. The carrier ‘s outer surface is sewn from ‘loop’ fabric that permits ‘hook’ fabric backed pouches and loop bands to be positioned anywhere upon the surface of the carrier. All the user does is purchase either a forearm or lower leg carrier in a small, medium, or large size. Then they purchase the various sized and configured pouches and loop bands that meets their requirement. After positioning all the pouches and loop bands in the required positions, they can be loaded with the required materials that will help the user accomplish their tasks with a significant improvement in efficiency. Later on, if the task varies, the carrier can be reconfigured to meet the requirements more efficiently. The product can be used in almost any activity, i.e., hiking, hunting, riding, working, health care, rehabilitation, office work, work working, and package wrapping, just to name a few.
The carrier sleeve: This sleeve is sewn from a laminated loop fabric that has been designed for heavy-duty engagement with hook fasteners. The laminated fabric is manufactured using nylon tricot backing with a polyester foam core, which is covered with a 100% nylon hook fabric. This fabric is cut to shape, and the edges are turned under and single stitched around the periphery to make finished edge. To this carrier, 1” wide elastic bands are cut to length and sewn, with one mating band near the top of the carrier sleeve and one near the bottom of the sleeve. The H&L mating fasteners are sewn onto the mating surfaces of the straps so the user can adjust the tightness for the maximum comfort while maintain the maximum load carrying capability. The carrier sleeves are supplied in small, medium and large sizes and in one of 18 standard colors. The standard colors are, but not limited to, the following. The carrier fabric will retain its holding strength for over 5,000 closure cycles and 0.5” square heavy-duty hook fastener will support up to a 10-pound load without failures.

The loop bands: These loop bands can be supplied in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or more loops. The loops can be open bottomed for longer cylindrical objects like pens, pencils, air pressure gauge, syringes, etc. Or they can be fewer and larger loops to hold medication vials, or other larger cylindrical objects. The bottom of the loops can be strapped and sewn to prevent cylindrical objects from slipping through. The catalog has various different configurations available for purchase to fit almost any application. Special orders can be accepted if the volume is large enough to cover the tooling cost.
The loops bands are sewn from 300 denier nylon strap fabric rectangles, which are cut to size form bolts of cloth using computer controlled rolling cutters. After cutting to shape, the edges of the fabric back are rolled under and stitched using a single stitch around the periphery, making a finished edge. The hook fastener rectangles are then sewn onto the back of the fabric with the hooks projecting outward. On the opposite surface of the nylon fabric, the elastic band material is cut to length and then stitched onto the fabric, making a multiplicity of loops. The loop size is determined by the production instructions for making the desired stock product. The nylon backing and loop fabric can be supplied in almost any vibrant color, so a distinctive color may be chosen to enhance the product recognition factor, which can dramatically improve the market adoption of the product. For instance, red elastic fabric can be used medication vial sized loops, green for pens and pencils, lime green for syringes, etc.
The pouches: The pouches are supplied in various sizes and with fold over tops secured with various fasteners or open topped with sewn bottoms. The catalog will show a series of pouches of various designs from small to large to allow the user to configure their carrier sleeve to their personal requirements. Special pouch configuration orders can be accepted if the volume is large enough to cover the tooling cost.
The pouches are sewn from 300 denier nylon fabric. The various sized pounces are cut to size and shape using computer controlled rolling cutters. After cutting, the hook fasteners are sewn onto the back side of the pouch fabric. Then the edges of the pouch are sewn together and the product turned inside out to provide a finished edge on the outside of the pouch. The flap’s edges are turned under and the edge stitched around to provide a finished look. The exterior surface of the pouch and mating surface of the flap have H&L fasteners sewn on to secure the flap closed. Other types of fasteners can be used for this part of the pouch, like snaps or magnets.
The “Forearm/Lower Leg Organizer” is designed to be aesthetic and effective in the application. The relative ease of manufacture and the moderately inexpensive components provide good marketability for the manufacturer. The user benefits from dramatically improved carrying capacity and organization of various items for use, which should provide considerable market interest in the product.
