DESCRIPTION:

The “Illuminated Cell Phone Feet” are a uniquely designed cell phone cover product that protects the device from water damage by raising it off of any wet surface.

The innovative use of pressure sensitive rubber feet also provide:

• Protection from scuffing and scratching.
• Protection from damage due to dropping or sliding off of surfaces.
• Decorative illumination when placed on any surface.

SPECIFIC, UNIQUE FUNCTIONS OF INVENTION:

Americans love their cell phones which have gone from once large and bulky to smaller, sleeker and a more customized design.

The problem with a smaller, sleeker phone is that it becomes more easily prone to damage as a result of slipping off of a counter top, being dropped or from accidental spills. Many cell phone consumers turn to cell phone covers to provide protection against most accidental damage to their phones, however, standard cell phone covers do not adequately protect the phones against water damage and they cover up the aesthetic of the phone.

The “Illuminated Cell Phone Feet” resolves these issues through its innovative use of pressure sensitive rubber feet integrated into the back of the cell phone cover itself. The cover itself provides adequate protection from drops, and by adding rubber feet to the back, the cell phone is lifted above any surface which keeps the phone high and dry if anyone should spill water, coffee, or soda nearby.

The cover of the “Illuminated Cell Phone Feet” may either be a hard plastic covering or flexible rubber covering and comes in a variety of colors and styles to suit any taste.

Furthermore, unlike other cell phone covers that take away from the beauty of the phone, the “Illuminated Cell Phone Feet” gives it back by providing LED lighting on the surface of the cover. When the “Illuminated Cell Phone Feet” is placed on any surface, the LED lights are activated through the pressure sensitive feet which give charm and “bling” to the protective cover.

ALTERNATE DESIGN:

Alternate version of the “Illuminated Cell Phone Feet” include:

• A hard plastic cover with retractable pressure sensitive feet. The feet are raised or lowered by using an on board switch.
• Pressure sensitive feet which are integrated into the cell phone itself.
• Customized covers that feature logos from the user’s favorite sports team.
• A translucent hard plastic cover with an LED light matrix. When the LED matrix is illuminated, the light glows through the translucent cover.
• Lighted phone cover to be with or without feet.
• A switch to also turn on lighted phone cover with or without feet.
• Translucent colored covers with lighting.
• Designs to include but not limit to lighted pink ribbon for breast cancer, lighted yellow ribbon for our armed forces, lighted college logo’s, lighted school logo’s, lighted alphabetical letters for name personalization.
• Lighted cover with blinking lights with or without feet.
