Kitty Faucet

DESCRIPTION:

A uniquely designed product that allows cats who love to drink from a faucet constant access to water, while saving the cat owner the expense related to running water all day from a standard bathtub faucet or sink.

The “Kitty Faucet” is specifically designed with the cat’s comfort while drinking in mind.  The position of the drip faucet in relation to the activation step is perfect for any average-sized, adult cat.  A faucet extension is included in order to accommodate shorter, younger cats.

SPECIFIC, UNIQUE FUNCTIONS OF INVENTION:

Pets love fresh, flowing water. Often times, pet owners will leave bowls of water out for their cats for them to drink throughout the day, however, by the end of the day, the water may get warm or stagnant… which is not as refreshing.  Other owners will leave their bathroom sinks or bathtub faucets dripping throughout the day to provide fresh flowing water for their beloved pets.  This solution, while supplying the pets with constant flowing water, can become costly.  Not to mention risky, considering how often sink and tub drains can get easily clogged.

The “Kitty Faucet” provides naturally cool, flowing water for pets without the expense or risk of water damage related to running water from skins or bath tubs.

It is simple to use, by placing a paw and the slightest pressure on the activation step at the base of the “Kitty Faucet” water is released from the water tank (placed on top of the unit) through the drip faucet.  By turning the flow regulating knob, the speed at which the water drips out may be increased or decreased, depending on the particular preference of the owner or their cat.

As the water is released, the cat may lap the droplets in a comfortable position.  A catch basin is built in below the faucet to catch any stray droplets.  From the catch basin, any stray water drains into the catch tank at the bottom of the unit.

The bottom of the unit is weighted and lined with a non-slip rubber mat to prevent it from sliding while kitty goes for a drink.

Unlike other pet faucets, the “Kitty Faucet” does not use electricity to run, making it safe and friendly to even the most “scaredy cat.”

Maintenance of the “Kitty Faucet” is just as easy.  As the water fills the catch tank, owners would simply remove the catch tank by sliding it out. Once completely removed, the old water can be dumped, and the owner can take it to the sink for cleaning before replace the catch tank once again by sliding it back in place at the bottom of the unit.

Likewise, maintenance of the water tank (located at the top of the unit) done easily.  When the water tank is emptied, the pet owner simply removes the water tank by unlocking the clips (located on both sides of the tank).  By using the built in handle, at the top of the tank, the owner can then take it to the sink, remove the rubber tank fill grommet, and begin cleaning the tank thoroughly.  After cleaning the tank, the owner can begin filling the tank with fresh water through  the tank fill grommet.  Once the tank is filled, the owner simply replaces the grommet, places the tank back on top of the unit and it is once again ready for kitty to enjoy a fresh drink of water.
