Pet Activity Caddy

DESCRIPTION:

The product is designed as a durable pet accessory made extra tough for dogs of any size or breed that likes to chew.

The unique and tough design of the “Pet Activity Caddy’s” integrated “fold-down,” interchangeable chew toys, it is possible for dogs to remain interested in chewing on the product for hours, rather than other household items; such as furniture, carpet, clothing shoes, etc.  Furthermore, since the product is made entirely of hard rubber material, it makes the dog’s chewing activity completely safe.

SPECIFIC, UNIQUE FUNCTIONS OF INVENTION:

Chewing, ripping, shredding, tearing things up and generally destroying stuff is as normal for dogs as tail-wagging. Dogs do not chew and destroy your house and belongings because they are angry, jealous or spiteful. The dogs’ chewing is a form of occupational therapy to relieve stress and release energy.

Most destructive chewing occurs just before the owner returns home. The dog is anxiously anticipating the owner’s return and this energy is released by chewing. Most pet trainers agree that the best way to prevent this destructive behavior from occurring is to provide with an object (such as a rubber chew toy) to relive this anxiety, otherwise they will destructively chew anything available, such as your furniture, carpet, clothing or shoes.

The “Pet Activity Caddy” provides the solution for dog owners.  With its durable, integrated and interchangeable chew toys, a pet owner simply “lifts and folds” the chew toy down from the wall of the caddy making it easy for the dog to reach and enjoy.  Since these chew toys are mounted to the wall of the “Pet Activity Caddy,” pet owners need not worry about lost toys for their dog any more.

The tough construction of the “Pet Activity Caddy” allows for a dog of any size or breed to chew and tug on the attached chew toys safely and securely.

These chew toys maybe removed and replaced with new chew toys (replacement toys may be sold separately), as needed.  When one needs to be replaced, the owner would simply fold the chew toy down and unscrew it from the base.  Then take the replacement toy and twist it into place until securely locked onto the fold out base. Once secured, it can be folded back or left down for the pet’s continued enjoyment.

Also, where other pet caddies and beds can be made of materials that present a choking hazard to many breeds, because the “Pet Activity Caddy” is made of a tough rubber material, dogs may chew for hours without risk of pieces breaking off and causing them to choke.

The versatile shape of the “Pet Activity Caddy” also provides use as a storage unit for any loose pet toys (rubber balls, raw hide bone, etc.).

Although the “Pet Activity Caddy” was primarily designed for use with dogs who like to chew, it can also be a means of entertainment of household cats.  An Emory strip is provided for as a place for cats to scratch and sharpen their claws, instead of tearing up the carpet or furniture.  Like the chew toys, this Emory strip can be easily removed and replaced by the owner with interchangeable strips (also sold separately.
