Travel Pillow
DESCRIPTION:
The “Travel Pillow” is a uniquely designed pillow created to protect travelers of any age against neck stiffness, shoulder pain, or other discomfort associated with napping or sleeping while traveling.
Made of soft, cushioned materials, the “Travel Pillow” is contoured to fit comfortably over anyone’s shoulders and once securely fastened to the seat, using Velcro strips, the innovative u-shaped design of the “Travel Pillow” creates a place on all sides for the travelers head to rest without falling forward.
The “Travel Pillow” comes in sizes for adults and children, as well as in many different colors.
SPECIFIC, UNIQUE FUNCTIONS OF INVENTION:
Ideally, a pillow should support the traveler’s neck and head, providing comfort and helping to avoid pain, especially when traveling far distances. Many pillows offered for traveling are placed behind the neck forcing the head forward, and will now allow the user to sleep upright.
Likewise, infants and young children traveling in car seats face similar challenges when napping during a car ride. The shape of the car seat does not provide a restful place to lay their heads.
The “Travel Pillow,” however, offers travelers of all ages a comfortable solution, by resting comfortably over the shoulder area while providing a uniquely design u-shaped wedge that cradles the travelers head while at rest With the “Travel Pillow,” users need not worry about their heads suddenly falling forward. Once the “Travel Pillow” is secured to the seat back, using it’s integrated Velcro strips, the traveler’s head remains upright always.
Both the adult and child’s version of the “Travel Pillow” are made of soft, cushioned material for maximum comfort while in use.
The adult version of “Travel Pillow” is ideal for airline flights. This version comes with an accompanying head rest cover that can be quickly and easily placed over the head rest, without requiring assistance from a flight attendant. Made from stretchable material, the head rest cover can fit around any sized head rest.
Once the head rest cover has been pulled into position, the traveler then sits back down, places the “Travel Pillow” on their shoulders and then leans backward, allowing the “Travel Pillow’s” integrated Velcro strips (located on the back of each shoulder rest) to stick to the Velcro strips stitched into the seat cover.
The wide surface area of the seat cover and its Velcro strips provides an adequate bond to prevent the “Travel Pillow” from coming loose
The child’s “Travel Pillow” is ideal for use with infant and children who must travel using car seats.
The accompanying Velcro strips can be quickly and easily affixed to the car seat and are used to securely fasten the child’s “Travel Pillow.” These Velcro strips can be raised as the child grows for continued use.
